night mare

Ok I had a nightmare last night. Is this is a little of how it goes.

Characters in my dream.

Me, 2 little boys (my brothers?), mom and dad (whom I never saw) 2 white huskies, a chiwawa and a doberman (4 dogs in total) a dog catcher, and a maid.

I was at the sliding door on the 1st level looking out into the yard and the huskies which were outside in the yard was acting funny. We angry and ready to pounce.

One of the little boy went out to play with them, and when the huskies saw him, they jumped and bit the boys throat and killed him.

I started yelling for my parents but they didn’t come. The Doberman that was sitting next to me started going crazy too and barking at the huskies so I let him out to the yard. It ran to the huskies and started tearing at the boy too.

I started panicking and thought that there must be an airborne virus that made dogs crazy.

So I started with our families emergency plan. (I think my parents were CEOs of big corporations so we had an emergency plan.)

I ran up stair to level 1. Ran across the draw bridge and pulled it up. One of the rooms on this floor was our maid’s. I went in and saw her neck had been bitten and she was lying on the ground. When I came out of the room I saw the huskies on the other side of the “moat” growling.

I continued up another flight of stairs to the top floor. And when I got to the pile of cushions I heard a timer and the pile of cushions fell over. There was a device that was at the top of the pile that was set to go off and tumble the cushions.

So now with no access to the button that activated the secret bridge to the secret door, I was trapped.

And then it was as if I was playing a video game, it all reset and I was back at the sliding door looking out into the yard. But this time I knew what was going happen.

I stopped the boy from going to the yard, and locked all the dogs outside. The huskies were still crazy but this time instead of tearing the boy apart, they were tearing the chiwawa. Satisfied that the dogs were all locked outside I went and called the dog catcher to come and dispose of the dogs.

I’m not sure what happened then, but the next thing I know, I was following the emergency plan again but instead of running from the dogs I was running from the dog catcher. The house was empty and I was the only person from our family left.

So I ran up to level 1, across the draw bridge, pulled it up, ran to the top floor and climb up the cushions. I could hear the timing device ticking so I climbed faster and hit the bridge button.

The bridge came out.

I quickly grabed the nearby cordless phone and jumped on the bridge that was making it’s way to the opposite wall where the button to the secret hatch was.

Once the bridge made it’s way across, I heard foot steps coming up the stairs. I jabbed the button and watched as the hatch slowly opened. I pulled myself out of the hatch and onto the ground floor roof as the dog catcher came into the room.

I got the phone and dialed 111. and hit the button that was on the outside wall to close the hatch just as the dog catcher was walking along the bridge.

Safe… I thought to myself.

And then I heard the recording on the other side of the line. “People dial 111 thinking that they’d get through to the police. But they are dialing the wrong number and not knowing it”

Shit. What is the emergency number?

I tried 000 and got “the police station is tsssstsssssss (static) please leave your number tsssssstssssssss(static)”

What the. Police stations should always have people. Then I thought to myself, my parents competitor must be the ones behind the dog virus. and the dog catcher must be their man. They must have tapped into our phone system.

I walked across the roof and thought I’d jump off the ledge near the front door and make a run for it. But as I got closer, I saw a women in a sheriff uniform standing guard at the door. It must have been one of the competitor’s man in disguise.

So I did the only thing I could think of. Grabbed my cordless and smashed it in her face.
It didn’t seem to have any effect on her, and she just turned to me and smiled.

Then she grabbed me and I went unconscious.

And then I woke up. Posted by Picasa

Mission design

I thought i'd design a few concepts for the TShirt.
THe first one on the left: I took Jennifer's idea.

the middle one: It's got the fish in a fishbowl (cup) the fish is living in the cup. and the cup is where the heart is. So it's like saying jesus live in our heart. aren't i clever~~ this is my fav.

the last one on the right: STM stands for short term missions. DUh.

Daily Bread Oct 7

==============Today's Daily Bread==============

Most homes are built to keep its inhabitants safe from ill effects of the weather, but not the dwellings built for Succoth. During this Jewish holiday, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, worshipers live in dwellings made of leaves and branches. One requirement is that the stars must be visible through the "roof."

Obviously, this dwelling provides little protection from inclement weather. And that's the point. Living in this vulnerable shelter reminds the Jews of their dependency on God.

During the days of the prophet Isaiah, the people bragged about a very different kind of dwelling place; they had made lies their refuge and falsehood their hiding place (Isa. 28:15). Because of the Israelites' dependence on ungodly things, the Lord said to them through the prophet, "Hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place" (v.17).

Succoth calls us to examine our lives to make sure that our security rests not on lies but on God's truth. The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us that all of life is sustained by God's goodness.

When we make truth our refuge, no storm can threaten us, for we can depend on God to sustain us. —Julie Ackerman Link

======================END=======================
I don't quite get this...

we should all take the roof off our house so we can see the sky so it reminds us how we can depend on god?

kind of a stupid argument to make.

It's like an insurance company asking people to go and smash their car so they can see how good their services are.

not a good argument to make.

==============Today's Daily Bread==============

Sometimes we may get discouraged because what we're doing for the Lord seems unsuccessful. The children in the Sunday school class we teach are restless and inattentive. The neighbors we're trying to reach with the gospel are politely indifferent. The members of our own family are far from the Lord. The world we lift up to God in fervent intercession grows increasingly violent and anti-Christian. All of this can add up to deep soul-discouragement.

Listen to the words of a Salvadoran clergyman who was murdered for his fearless denunciation of violence and injustice. He wrote: "We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise. We lay foundations that will need further development. . . . We cannot do everything, and there's a sense of liberation in realizing that." This attitude helps us to do small things and to leave "an opportunity for the Lord's grace to enter and do the rest."

That agrees with the apostle Paul's encouragement to be faithful in our tasks and to wait on God who "gives the increase" (1 Cor. 3:6-7).

Don't allow discouragement to cause you to quit. In God's own time our work will bear fruit. —Vernon C Grounds

======================END=======================

I think this is something we have to keep in mind when going back to missions.

There is no way that we'll be able to do everything. We can't sow the seed and expect to harvest before we leave.

Liberate yourself and say "It's not possible to do everything"

Daily Bread Oct 4

==============Today's Daily Bread==============
I was filling out an online survey when I came to this question: "What is something that is true about you that most people would not guess?" The answer is that I am very sentimental. I get choked up at the movies when the violins start to swell, eyes fill with tears, and the boy finds his long-lost dog—or something comparable. I'm just a softie when it comes to those things.

It's easy and safe to get emotional over fictional characters and events. But it's a different matter to feel deep sadness and grief over real people and their needs. Heartache for the wayward, the suffering, the lost, and the broken tends to mirror the heart and compassion of Jesus, who wept over wayward Jerusalem (Luke 19:41).

When Jeremiah's people were drifting far from God and His love, he also felt the need to weep. He sensed the burden of God's heart and the brokenness of his people. Weeping seemed the only appropriate response (Jer. 9:1).

As we see the condition of the fallen world and the lostness of the people who surround us, let's ask God to give us a heart that mirrors the heart of Christ—a heart that weeps with Him for a lost world and then reaches out to them in love. —Bill Crowder

======================END=======================

Feelings... I don't feel really... i'm not very emotional
I don't get excited much, i don't get sad much either, i don't feel anything inbtween much either.

I feel anger easy tho~ but it's always easy come easy go.

I need to learn how to love. I love easily... as long as i think you're worthy of my love. Which is not a lot of people. Hence i need to work on it.

Wednesday

OMG.. if you haven't seen this, GO SEE IT NOW! i love i love i love i love i love

I'm gonna be a PA when i grow up~ and anyone that says "PA is for someone who can't find a real job" SHOULD GET SHOT RIGHT NOW. People on have this perception because most PAs in this world are PATHETIC and have no idea how to do the job right.

anyway.... if you can't afford to see it, i'm gonna buy the DVD and you can borrow it :P

I also go my hair cut today~ i look HOT.

........ actually..... i look HOTTER, since i was already hot looking.

i've also got a big pimple on my nose..... evil.... but hey~ it's individuality! Who else has such a nice looking pimple on their nose? No one? Except for me? Damn RIGHT!

Nokia announced they came up with a new wireless standard called the "Wibree". It's simple to bluetooth and does the same thing but it only uses 1/10 of the power. Nokia says it's a great technology because you can use it in small, low powered electrical divices such as watches.

Why i think this stupid?
1. There are a abundant wireless standards at the moment. None of them have been perfected. Why come up with another standard that does the same things?
2. It uses the 2.4 gigahertz spectrum. it's gonna get interferance coz a million other things uses the same spectrum already; cordless phone, bluetooth, microwaves.
3. It's made by nokia. Sure, they sell a lot of phones, but they sell a lot of CRAP phones. Everytime they come out with a "new" phone, it's actually just the insides on the last model with a new case over it. People are bound to find out sooner or later Nokia. Recycling crap doesn't get passed my eyes.

Anyhow,

woke up at 5 again this morning, and cleaned my room. It actually looks clean! *amazing*

time to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz Posted by Picasa

holiday

Today's the second day of holidays. I'm getting bored already. It's not
that i don't have stuff to do. It's that i don't want to do anything i'm
suppose to do.

I went to sleep around 8,9 ish last night, and woke up at 4 this morning.

I watched an episode of west wing, did a little net surfing. and when
the sun came out, i read a little. Matthew Reilly - Temple.

anyway, got hungry, so ate some pizza around 7, saw some mold on the
curtains in my room, so i removed it and replaced it with some cloth we
bought at ikea.

Then decided it was time for a change of space. So i moved my tables
around. Not a big change because i still don't know where to put my bed.

after i "cleaned up" around 10, i started bumming online. Warcraft,
Dungeons and dragons, warcraft, dungeon and dragons, warcraft.
Had dinner. Dungeons and dragons, warcraft.

It's 9 now. Have to wake up around 5:30 tomrow and take tiff to the train.

Oh joy.
